Room 208: Maker Activity B

This class is perfect for beginners with no prior crochet experience. If you've ever wanted to create beautiful handmade items or just explore a new hobby, this class is for you.

What You'll Need:

Crochet Hook: This is a special tool that looks like a small stick with a hook at the end. It helps you pick up the yarn and make stitches.
Yarn: Yarn is like a colorful string made from wool or other materials. It comes in many colors and thicknesses. You'll use yarn to create your crochet projects.

Starting with a J Hook:

To begin crocheting, we use a special tool called a crochet hook. The J hook is a great size for beginners because it's a little bigger, which makes it easier to hold and work with. It's like having the perfect pencil size for writing big letters!

Buying Yarn:

If you're buying yarn, look for light colors like pastels or bright shades that catch your eye. These colors are great for making your crochet projects stand out!

Library Options:

At the library, you can explore a variety of yarn colors. Take your time to find the perfect shades for your crochet creations. It's like picking out colors for your own masterpiece!
