Rooms 115A & 115B: Activity and Story Time

The purpose of the interactive Storytime training is to teach caregivers how to provide high-quality early learning experiences.

Creating a high-quality learning experience for children nurtures comprehension and decoding skills for a lifetime of reading and learning. Instruction in the training will have different talking points for caregivers of children 0 to 10 years old. We will encourage caregivers and children to learn by getting inside stories while interacting with others. Research shows that this kind of play stimulates the senses, provides connections to all four lobes of the brain, touches on a variety of intelligences, and heightens social and emotional awareness—all while extending the early literacy practices of Every Child Ready to Read® and preparing children for school.

*Open to the public, however training materials will only be provided to approved organizations*
