Stop in to the Local History Room for a "then and now" activity!
The annual holiday event, Stroll on State, brings thousands of people to downtown Rockford. Stop into the Local History Room to see past events that drew crowds to downtown too! We'll display old photographs and provide various LH resources, such as newspaper articles, photographs, city directories, maps, etc., for visitors to investigate the "who, what, and where" to discover why so many visitors came to downtown.
