Books, songs, storytelling, and crafts for children ages 3-5
Attention Preschoolers and Parents/Caregivers: Come to this fun-filled program for stories, songs, felt board rhymes, and crafts that will give you "preschool power." We will work on the "ABCs and 123s" as well as science, nature, community, and social/emotional skills through the sharing of picture books and related activities. This program is developmentally designed for children ages 3-5. Storytime will not be held on the following Mondays: September 26th, October 10th, December 19th, and December 26th.

The 36,000 sq.ft. Hart Interim Library opened Dec. 2, 2017 and serves as the Rockford Public Library’s main downtown facility. The newly renovated space boasts a 2nd story Children’s Area with dedicated computer lab, Read, Play, Learn program room, and creative play space, a Maker Lab with access to 3D printers and scanners and small board computers a sizable Young Adult Zone with gaming center, adult computer lab, local history room, and 5 private meeting and study rooms accommodating groups of 2-8 people.
