Learn some basics of etiquette while you enjoy a tea party with your favorite doll!
Which fork should I use? How do I shake hands? What's the most important etiquette rule? These questions will be answered in a fun way with Rockford Public Library's American Girl Tea Party. Bring your favorite doll and join us for a sweet party with American Girl decorations, treats, crafts, and BOOKS!
This program is suitable for children aged 7 to 14. Reservations are required and a waiting list will be maintained. Please put the child's name on the reservation! If you're signed up and can't make the party, please let us know so another child can participate!

The 36,000 sq.ft. Hart Interim Library opened Dec. 2, 2017 and serves as the Rockford Public Library’s main downtown facility. The newly renovated space boasts a 2nd story Children’s Area with dedicated computer lab, Read, Play, Learn program room, and creative play space, a Maker Lab with access to 3D printers and scanners and small board computers a sizable Young Adult Zone with gaming center, adult computer lab, local history room, and 5 private meeting and study rooms accommodating groups of 2-8 people.
