Come into your Montague Branch Library to learn some American Sign Language vocabulary and conversational phrases every Thursday 5:30-6:30 beginning February 2, 2023 - April 27, 2023. No experience necessary. Each class will have a specific subject of vocabulary to learn so if you miss a class, you won't feel behind. Spanish speakers welcome! Vocabulary available in Spanish! At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion for the classes you attended.
Recommended for Tweens, Teens, and Adults. Please register every person.
Ven a la Montague Branch Library para aprender vocabulario de lenguaje de señas estadounidense y frases de conversación todos los jueves de 5:30 a 6:30 a partir del 12 de enero de 2023 al 30 de marzo de 2023. No se necesita experiencia. Cada clase tendrá un tema específico de vocabulario para aprender, por lo que si pierdes una clase, no te sentirás atrasado. ¡Los hispanohablantes son bienvenidos! ¡Vocabulario disponible en español! Officially opened on May 24, 1923, the Montague Branch Library is the Library’s oldest existing branch library facility. Located on the corner of Winnebago and Montague Streets, this branch serves people living on the south and west sides of Rockford. The two-story brick building has been lovingly restored and contains many of the original oak bookcases and a fireplace. The Montague Branch offers an expanded children’s space including a dedicated play room, a wireless computer area, a classroom and the Constance V. Lane Community Room.
