Stop by RPL's East Branch during Mental Illness Awareness Week to browse a display table loaded with NAMI flyers/literature, the week's events calendar, and related RPL books available for checkout.
The table of resources at East Branch will be available during normal business hours Monday, October 2 - Saturday, October 7.
This year's theme is Better Together where NAMI (the National Alliance on Mental Illness) is joined and supported by many local organizations to spread and raise awareness of mental illness in our community. According to NAMI's website, 1 in 5 people live with a mental condition. Mental illness is more common than you may know and it can affect any age, race, religion and income level. Find support, inclusion, factual information, family programs and crisis assistance through NAMI. Let's all work together to raise awareness and eventually eliminate common stereotypes related to mental illness. #bettertogether
