Lunch and Learn
Join us for a special Lunch & Learn gallery tour with local artist Brett Whitacre, as he guides visitors through his solo exhibition, Everything’s Fine…, now on view in the First-Floor Gallery at Rockford Public Library.
This vibrant yet thought-provoking collection pairs bright, pop-inspired imagery with deeper undercurrents of cultural and societal challenges. Whitacre’s work playfully reveals the tension between cheerful surfaces and the realities they conceal, inviting audiences to reflect while enjoying bold, eye-catching compositions.
During this lunchtime program, Whitacre will share insights into his artistic process, themes, and inspirations, offering a unique behind-the-scenes perspective on the more than 15 works featured in the show. Each painting is available for purchase via QR code, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Rockford Public Library Foundation.
The tour will take place on the first floor starting in the Gallery adjacent to Account Services window.
