Unearth a new talent and learn a guitar riff with our friends from Guitar Center! No prior experience preferred. Must register each participant by choosing 1 of 3 available sessions. See more details.

East Branch (6685 E. State St.) is hosting Guitar Center in its mission to bring music, reading music, and playing a guitar to those with no or very limited experience. This is your chance to see what playing a guitar feels like. Everything you need is provided by Guitar Center, but if you own your own guitar, feel free to bring it along and use it. Anyone aged 8 through adult can register to learn a familiar guitar riff at this FREE event.

There are three (3) sessions to choose from with 15 participants per session guided by professional instructors from Guitar Center. You may only register for one (1) session. Please register using each participant's name. Registration closes 24 hours before the start of each session. IF YOU SIGN UP AND CANNOT ATTEND, PLEASE HAVE THE COURTESY TO CANCEL SO SOMEONE ELSE GETS A CHANCE, or simply call Abby at 815-966-2755 and I will gladly cancel for you.

SESSION 3:  1:00p - 1:55p

During the event, Guitar Center will be offering a discount of 25% off of your first month of lessons if you choose to take it a step further. If you have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, this is the perfect event for you! Guitar Center of Rockford (5425 E. State St.) specializes in new/used guitars, drum sets, piano keyboards, and equipment/accessories like amps, lighting and microphones. Their professional instructors teach all skill levels and all ages. Guitar Center also services and repairs instruments and equipment.
